¿Buenos, mediocres o malos?Los juicios de santa Teresa de Jesús sobre sus confesoresen la encarnación de Ávila

Abstract

The author of this work summarises and clarifies in some way what he had published on the topic of the confessors in the monastery  of the Encarnación in Avila, in a number of works as far back as 1982, for the 3rd Centenary of the death of St. Teresa. However, it  seemed to him a good thing to return to this topic for the 5th Centenary of the birth of the saint and to publish here for the second  time, in summary and sharper form, what he wrote on that occasion, in the hope that a greater number of readers might have access  to the works that he published at that time. The topic, naturally, has not lost any of his freshness, and still needs to be the subject of further research and reflection.
