Bartolomé Xiberta, Filósofo de la teología

Authors

  • Pompeyo Ramis M. Author

Abstract

The author (who was student of Bartolomé F.M. Xiberta and who knows quite well his philosophical thought and who has published  several works on the topic) makes an acute analysis of the philosophical attitudes of our Carmelite theologian and he demonstrates  with several examples taken from the theological work of Xiberta how at the base of it there is a sound and solid philosophical  scaffolding so that we can consider him “a philosopher of theology”. The philosophical attitude of Xiberta brought him to critique the  new theologies of the last century, considering that they would bring theology into subjectivism and relativism. Ramis describes  Xiberta as “a philosopher theologian, essentialist and realist at the same time…”
