Carmelite Retreats, Past and Present

Abstract

In several Carmelite provinces a Carmelite retreat is offered to candidate-members of the Carmelite Family and to those who want to renew their profession. This article gives an overview of the Carmelite Retreat tradition, followed by a proposal for a contemporary  Carmelite retreat structure.
