Sobre el Carmelo Lusitano
Resumen
In this article, probably the last one he wrote, the noted Spanish Carmelite historian and investigator, offers three documents with relation to Portugal. The first is an account, by a Jesuit priest, of the mission of the Carmelite, Domingo de Santa Theresa in the Amazon region; after that the author introduces a noble Portuguese lady, the baroness Doña Beatriz Silveira, foundress of the monastery of Carmelite nuns of San Jose in Madrid; and at the end he talks about the life of the painter João Pinto de Vitoria, whose work is to be seen in the Carmelite house in Valencia.
