Tra le carte d’archivio della postulazione: documenti relativi al riconoscimento del culto del Beato Jean Soreth († 1471)
Resumen
On 25 July 1471, just 550 years ago, the prior general Jean Soreth, reformer and initiator of the cloistered female life organized in Carmel, died in Angers. For the occasion, he proceeded to re-examine the file kept in the Archives of the General Postulation. It contains documents relating to the process for the recognition of the immemorial cult of Blessed Soreth, recognized in 1866, and other papers dating back to the 1930s relating to his burial in the Carmelite church of Angers, the cult and all’iconography. All this is accounted for in the article that presents and partially reproduces these documents.
